How do you reach Valencia from the airport?

Metrovalencia lines 3 and 5 connect the airport directly with central Valencia. Line 3 serves Xàtiva and Colón, while line 5 continues towards the maritime area. The central journey generally takes around twenty-five minutes. Check current timetables and fares because public discounts and zones can change.

The airport belongs to a more expensive fare zone than an urban journey. For later travel, SUMA or a multi-journey ticket may be better when combining metro, tram and bus. Do not buy a tourist card automatically before counting journeys and included attractions.

Xàtiva or Colón

Best for Ciutat Vella, Ruzafa and a general first trip.

Marítim

More logical for Cabanyal, port and beach with a final walk or connection.

The axis that makes Valencia easy

Should you rent a bike for Turia?

Yes when you want to connect the centre, gardens, City of Arts and possibly the coast quickly. The route is mainly flat and separated from traffic, although pedestrians, intersections and groups require care. A standard bike is enough for most visitors.

Rental is less useful when spending several hours inside Oceanogràfic. In that case, walk through part of Turia and return by bus or metro.

An afternoon rather than a summer promise

Are Malvarrosa and Cabanyal worth it in April?

Yes for light, walking, Cabanyal architecture and a rice lunch near the sea. The beach is wide and accessible by tram or bus. The water remains cool and wind can make a long static beach stay uncomfortable.

Las Arenas is closest to the port and restaurants. Malvarrosa provides more space. Patacona extends the promenade north but adds time on a two-day trip.

Is Albufera realistic over two days?

Yes, while it replaces part of the beach day or a major indoor visit. The natural park provides rice fields, birds, El Palmar and sunset light. Public bus travel is possible, while an organised tour removes return-timetable management and often includes a boat.

Choose Albufera when landscape and paella matter more than Oceanogràfic. A third night makes it much easier.
