The airport metro reaches Trindade without a car. After a late arrival, compare a direct transfer because a small saving can be erased by a long wet wait.

The centre is walkable, yet slopes and wet surfaces increase fatigue. Use metro, bus or funicular to climb, and cross Dom Luís I Bridge at the level that fits the route.

Airport: metro to Trindade, then a short walk or connection.
Gaia: walk across the bridge; the cable car is optional and mainly panoramic.
